How to Schedule an Advising Appointment
Step 1
Log in to AdvisorTrac using your netID and password. You will see the welcome screen below.
Step 2
Click on Search Availability to see what appointment times are available.
Step 3
On the availability screen choose the Center where you are advised by clicking on the arrow to the right of the box and then click the Center name to choose it.

Step 4
After you click on the Center, the search options will become active.

If you would like to see all available appointment times, click on the Search button at the bottom and skip to Step 8.
Step 5
If you would like to see a specific advisor then choose his or her name from the Consultant drop down box by clicking on the arrow and then on the advisor’s name.

You can also choose a reason for your visit by clicking on the arrow next to the reason box and choosing from the list of available reasons.

If you wish to see all advisor availabilities, leave the consultant field blank.
Step 6
Once you have chosen the advisor you would like to meet with or if you don’t have an advisor preference you will need to choose the dates you would like to search. You set the start date by clicking on the calendar symbol to the right and then clicking on the appropriate date on the calendar. Once you have clicked on the date, click on the X in the upper right corner of the selection box to close it.
Step 7
If you would like to search more that one day then set the end date in the same manner. Once you have set the start and end dates click the Search button.
Step 8
The availabilities will show up in the main box on the right hand side.
Click on the time slot you would like to reserve for your appointment.
Step 9
The appointment screen will appear. Confirm that the date and time are the ones you want to reserve for your appointment and then click save. Once you have clicked the save button and the request has processed, click the X button to exit this screen. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE NOTES IN THE "NOTES" BOX, ADVISORS WILL NOT SEE THEM.
Step 10
You will be back on the availability screen and the appointment time should no longer show up. To confirm your appointment click on the Main Menu button at the top left of the screen.
Step 11
On the main page in the middle of the left hand side is a box with Upcoming Appointments. The appointment should be listed here. Check this before you exit to ensure that the appointment was saved properly.
If you wish to cancel an appointment, click the small X button next to the upcoming appointment.
Step 12
If there are no available appointments for your search criteria you will get the message below in the available time slots box.
Or if you try to search for appointments outside of the range of available appointments you will get the message below in the available time slots box.
In either of these cases, please try new search options or try again on the next date when new appointments are made available.
