Business Course Registration
Due to the integrated nature of the business curriculum, prerequisites and corequisites are strictly enforced and registration in all upper-level business courses, as well as Business Administration 201, has been restricted. Students must be admitted into a business major (or have appropriate prerequisites if pursuing a business minor) in order to enroll in upper-level business classes. Course registration has been incorporated into the advising experience. Once the student and advisor have determined the appropriate courses for the upcoming semester, the advisor will make arrangements for the student to be enrolled in those courses on the student's scheduled registration date.
Business courses that are not restricted:
- Accounting 200
- Economics 201
- Statistics 201 (must have Math 125 or 141 as a prerequisite)
- Business Law 301 (must have completed 60 hours of coursework)
- Upper Level Economics (must have any prerequisites)
- Upper Level Statistics (must have any prerequisites)
Business Minors
Students must be enrolled in the following business courses by the College of Business Administration's Undergraduate Programs office:
- BA 201 (prerequisites of Accounting 200 and Economics 201; corequisite of Statistics 201)
- Finance 300 (prerequisite of BA 201)
- Management 300 (prerequisite of BA 201)
- Marketing 300 (prerequisite of BA 201)
Students pursuing a business minor are encouraged to meet with an advisor in the Undergraduate Programs office; however, this is not required. Students may submit a course request form to be enrolled in the appropriate courses for the upcoming semester. Please note:
- Students are responsible for meeting all prerequisites and corequisites.
- Students' advising holds must be cleared by their departmental advisors.
- All other holds (parking, Bursar's, etc.) must be cleared before business minor courses can be added.
- Courses should be added by 6:00 pm on the student's designated registration date.
- Alternative section numbers should be listed (if applicable).
