Technology Integration Services

Technology Integration Services provides infrastructure, customer service and web application support to the faculty, staff, students and units of the College of Business. Its focus is to facilitate the use of the campus technology infrastructure and support while adding complementary infrastructure and services to meet the unique needs of the College.

Undergraduate courses can be found on the campus Blackboard course management system. CBA Undergraduate majors, MBA students, MACC students and Executive MBA students are required to have a laptop. The laptops work with campus wireless network and course management software to enhance the learning environment for CBA students. Students can purchase laptops from the campus computer store or any retail outlet provided the laptop meets the requirements established by the College.  Undergraduate, MBA and MACC students should follow the  instructions in the laptop setup guide to prepare their laptop for use at UT.   Executive Education students (Aerospace, Executive, Pro and PEMBA) should click on the Executive Education heading to the left for instructions on laptop setup. Laptop orientation is provided to new laptop users at the beginning of each term.

How to get help

Students with Laptops can go to the OIT Service Center in the Hodges Library Commons.

There are a limited number of laptop loaners for students whose laptop is not working and in the process of being fixed. Please send an email to cbahelp@utk.edu to check on the availability of a loaner.

NEW SERVICE!
Faculty & Staff
can now receive customer support through joint services provided by the university's Office of Information Technology (OIT) and Technology Integration Services (TIS). Faculty and staff needing assistance can access REMEDY, a trouble ticket program managed by OIT. The new service provides access to an expanded number of support personnel. It will also facilitate speedy problem resolution through timely consultation and, when necessary, on-site followup by one of the TIS support technicians.
