Technology Integration Services

Technology Integration Services provides infrastructure, customer service and web application support to the faculty, staff, students and units of the College of Business administration. Its focus is to facilitate the use of the campus technology infrastructure and provide support services to meet the unique needs of the college.

Undergraduate courses can be found on the campus Blackboard Course Management system. The college's undergraduate majors, MBA students, MACC students, and executive MBA students are required to have a laptop. The laptops work with the campus wireless network and course management software to enhance the learning environment for students. Students can purchase laptops from the campus computer store or any retail outlet provided the laptop meets the requirements established by the college. Once a laptop has been purchased, Undergraduate, MBA, and MACC students should follow the setup instructions provided for Windows users or Macintosh users so that their laptop is prepared for use at UT.  Executive Education students (Aerospace, Executive, Professional, and Physician) should click on the "Executive Education" heading to the left for instructions on laptop setup.

How to Get Help

Students with laptops can go to the OIT Service Center in the Hodges Library Commons.

There are a limited number of laptop loaners for students whose laptops are not working and are in the process of being fixed. Please send an email to cbahelp@utk.edu to check on the availability of a loaner.

Faculty and staff receive customer support through joint services provided by Technology Integration Services (TIS) and the university's Office of Information Technology (OIT). TIS can now provide remote support by calling 4-8790 between the hours of 9:30AM - 12Noon. Both TIS and OIT can access FOOTPrints, a trouble ticket program managed by OIT. The new service provides access to an expanded number of support personnel. It will also facilitate speedy problem resolution through timely consultation, and, when necessary, on-site follow up by one of the TIS support technicians.
