Supply Chain Strategy and Management Forum

On behalf of the faculty & staff of the Demand & Supply Integration Forums, we invite you to join us at the Fall 2009 Forums. This unique event brings the Supply Chain Strategy & Management Forum and the Demand & Sales Forecasting Management Forum together at the Knoxville Marriott during the same week. Furthermore, a joint plenary session on November 12th offers a great opportunity to interact with both supply chain and forecasting professionals regarding topics of interest to both groups. We believe this unique format will provide the best of both worlds by allowing attendees to benchmark with supply chain and forecasting colleagues who are facing simlar challenges in today’s dynamic business environment. Sponsors are invited to attend both meetings at no additional charge.

Dr.Esper

As frontrunners of demand and supply integration, the University of Tennessee's Department of Marketing and Logistics is committed to fostering an open dialogue between the business community, world-class scholars, and students. One of our key tools for interfacing with industry leaders is the Supply Chain Strategy and Management Forum. It is a research based think tank that brings our faculty together with executives from some of the world's most progressive companies to address critical supply chain issues affecting profitability at each link along the organizational value chain.

The forum consists of two, annual on campus meetings. Our members, known as sponsors, receive up to five complimentary registrations for each session, which they are encouraged to share with customers or suppliers.

Program Content

Twice a year, we ask our membership what issues they are facing in managing and optimizing their supply chain structures. UT's forum faculty - academic leaders in integrated supply chain management -- then brainstorm to craft a meeting agenda that addresses these issues. Thought leaders and senior executives from a broad cross section of industries are invited to present their ideas and insights on these topics. Because our meeting format includes panel discussions, sponsors have an opportunity to probe, challenge, and offer feedback with an immediacy that often leads to unparalleled dialogue. This fusion of speakers from both industry and academia, coupled with sponsor participation, creates a dynamic meeting, rich with topical information that is both relevant and actionable.

Who Should Attend

UT's Supply Chain Strategy and Management Forum is targeted toward at executives and managers seeking a broader perspective on how to optimize their companies' supply chain to enhance value and profitability.
