Admission Requirements for our M.S. program

Refer to the UT Graduate School for general admission requirements.   In addition to their requirements, applicants to our program must:

• Have a minimum grade point average of 2.7 out of a possible 4.0 and must have completed two years of college mathematics, including matrix algebra and calculus of several variables.

• Submit results of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) general portion, although GMAT exam scores may be substituted.

• Applicants whose native language is other than English must submit results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

• Be proficient in the use of computers.

• Along with departmental application form, submit four letters of recommendation.

Students with a background in engineering and the physical sciences
are strongly encouraged to apply.
