Internships

It is expected that you will complete an internship:

• The internship is a very important part of the MS program because it gives the student first hand experience on how the "real world" works.

• We provide assistance by identifying companies or other institutions interested in hiring a student for the summer.

• The student obtains valuable experience solving real problems, and often times the host organization hires him/her after graduation.

• Besides earning invaluable experience and academic credit, the intern is usually compensated financially.

• Problems encountered during the internship make excellent topics for the independent study that each student must complete before graduation.
