NOTES:

  • The Level A courses must be an approved sequence.
  • The Statistics M.S. requires 33 hours, (IGSP hours plus 9 hours) plus comprehensive exams.
  • Courses taken for the doctoral degree may fulfill requirements for the M.S. degree in Statistics.
  • Courses taken for the minor or the master’s degree in Statistics may fulfill requirements for the doctoral program. Contact the home department.
  • Some of the Level B hours may be obtained from certain Level A and C courses upon approval by the IGSP Executive Committee and the student’s home department.
  • The student’s home department must verify the fulfillment of non-Statistics degree requirements.

The usual requirements of the M.S. in Statistics: 24 hrs. of IGSP courses + 9 hrs. concentration (Ph.D. courses may be double-counted up to a maximum of 9 hrs.) + theory and applied comprehensive examinations.
