Obtaining materials not owned by the UT
Libraries
Option 1.
Use a full text database, such as ProQuest or Dow
Jones Interactive, or scan our list of Electronic
Journals to determine if the periodical you want is
available for the date you need. If so, just search
the database to locate the full text.
DELIVERY: a matter of minutes
Option 2.
Request a copy of the article you want through the
UT Libraries’ Interlibrary Services. An online
request form is available to make your request.
There is no charge for this service for currently
enrolled UTK students, faculty or staff.
DELIVERY: approximately 7-10 working days; RUSH
service is available.
Option 3.
If you have an immediate need, try UnCover@UTK .
Coverage is generally limited to scholarly research
journals. The Libraries subsidizes this service for
UT faculty, staff, and graduate students to obtain
fax copies of articles from journals we do not own.
Fees are subsidized up to $35 per article for a
maximum of 20 articles per month. Some other
restrictions may also apply.
