History

 

Debbie Mackey has been the advisor for UT SHRM since the year 2000. To increase students' potential for excellent job placement, she develops contacts and identifies employment opportunities across the country.  She works very hard to assist students in gaining a better understanding of their role as human resource professionals and networking with those already in the profession.  Debbie is very dedicated to helping students study and obtain funding for the SHRM games, and she hosted the Southeast Regional games in 2006 and 2008.  She has received numerous awards for her outstanding dedication to students, including the Outstanding Commitment to Student Award at UT-2008; the McKamey Scholar award for 2009-2011; and the Outstanding Service and Commitment to SHRM in 2005.
