SHRM Opportunities 2011-2012

Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM): If you are a member of UT-SHRM you can join for $25.00 as a student.  SHRM is a great resource for all HR needs.

National SHRM: Join National SHRM as a student member for only $35. Go to www.shrm.org.

Tennessee Valley Human Resource Association (TVHRA): They meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM at Rothchild Catering and Conference Center.  Make reservations the Friday before at www.tvhra.org.

You can go as the guest of Dr. Debbie Mackey.  To join TVHRA it is $5.00, and dinner is $18.00.

Scholarships:

- The Joseph P. Goddard Scholarship ($1000) is awarded to one deserving student each year based on need and scholastic ability.  For information on how you may qualify, see Dr. Mackey.

- Two TVHRA Scholarships available each year. Apply each January in the Advising office.

- SHRM scholarships available for undergraduate and graduate students. www.shrm.org
