HONG KONG

Today was "individual site visit day" and most execs visited local companies in and around Hong Kong with four students traveling all of the way to Shanghai in mainland China for their local site visit. On the individual site visits, our execs got a first-hand look at businesses in Hong Kong and the opportunity to discuss the elements that a business owner or manager must consider in order to be success in Hong Kong. These visits are typically one of the highlights of our trip, and there are always unexpected opportunities that arise from these visits.

In the evening, we joined the executive MBA students from the Kellogg/Hong Kong University of Science and Technology at the world famous Hong Kong Jockey Club for a really fascinating presentation by their CIO on the technology that is used in the business of horse racing. We also enjoyed watching the horses run and trying to understand all of the facts in placing bets. It was all a lot of fun.
