Admission to the Ph.D. Program
Applicants to the College of Business Administration Ph.D. program must satisfy the admission requirements of the Ph.D. program concentration and the Graduate School at the University of Tennessee. Applicants are required to fill out both the Graduate School application and the College of Business Administration application that can be downloaded below. The following checklist provides a step-by-step process to apply to the Ph.D. program.
Application Checklist
Application Materials must be received by December 31, 2011. The Department of Marketing and Logistics begins processing Ph.D. applications in January 2011.
- Complete the online Graduate School Application.
- Pay the application fee to the Graduate School.
- Submit 2 official transcripts to the Graduate School from each institution attended, including all undergraduate and graduate work. Transcripts must arrive in a sealed envelope mailed directly to the Graduate School from the institution attended. Transcripts mailed from applicants will not be accepted.
- Complete the College of Business Administration application for your concentration. Mail completed application to the address provided.
- Submit 4 references to the College of Business Administration. Referees may use the College of Business Administration Applicant Rating Form listed below, and may also attach a letter of recommendation.
- Request ETS submit an official GMAT score to the College of Business Administration. (University of Tennessee's reporting number is 1843)
- For international students: Have ETS submit an official TOEFL score to the Graduate School.
