Lloyd M. Rinehart is an Associate Professor of Marketing and Logistics in the College of Business Administration at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  

His primary teaching responsibilities at UTK focus on graduate, undergraduate and executive education instruction of negotiation processes between suppliers and customers, logistics operations at the Undergraduate and MBA levels, and Supply Chain Thought at the Ph.D. level. 

His current research interests include theory and practical applications of the negotiation process used in creating transactions, and managing relationships between procurement, marketing and logistics personnel.

The findings of these research efforts have lead to numerous academic publications in leading academic journals including: the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Channels, Journal of Marketing Education, Journal of Business Logistics, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, Transportation Journal, and the International Journal of Operations and Production Management.  He is also co-author of Creating Logistics Value: Themes for the Future published by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
