With over 30 years of integrated marketing communications experience, Cindy Raines brings to the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration broad-based integrated marketing communication management skills and an extensive background in national public relations and corporate marketing. Ms. Raines' areas of expertise include strategic planning, media relations, imaging and positioning, integrated marketing communications, new product launches, and packaging development. From front-end strategic consulting that determines proper positioning and target marketing to the creative execution of paid and non-paid campaign elements such as collateral pieces, broadcast and print media, and public relations, Ms. Raines has successfully consulted with and guided many organizations across a number of industries — including education, consumer products, manufacturing, real estate, and entertainment.                                                                              

Ms. Raines has won numerous Addy, Telly, Communicator, and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) awards for creative excellence, including a PRSA Best of Show for national media relations. She has been named to the lists of 2000 Notable American Women, The World Who's Who of Women, Who's Who Worldwide and most currently to Manchester Who’s Who Among Executive and Professional Women, Empire Who’s Who Among Executive and Professional Women, Strathmore’s Who’s Who Executive and Professional Registry, Who’s Who in Business Higher Education, and Who’s Who Among American Teachers and Educators. Currently the director of communications for the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration, her résumé is distinguished by increasingly senior-level positions with prominent marketing agencies and corporations — positions in which she increased product sales by as much as 64 percent and product contribution by as much as 395 percent.

Ms. Raines serves as associate chair of the advocacy committee for the University of Tennessee Chancellor’s Academic Outreach Council. She also served on the executive committee of the Junior Achievement board of directors and, for more than a decade, has been a lecturer within the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration, specializing in integrated marketing communications. She holds an MBA in marketing management from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
