Dr. Seat received a Ph.D. in Sport Psychology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She came to the University of Tennessee College of Engineering in 1997 as a National Science Foundation visiting Professor. Her research interests include mental performance skills enhancement for professionals, leadership development for technical professionals, and basic communication skills enhancement for everyone else. Her work has appeared in the Journal for Engineering Education. Prior to coming to the Management Department, she served as the Director of the Aerospace MBA in the UT College of Business, and an engineering manager for Lockheed Martin.
