Dr. T. Russell Crook is an Associate Professor of Management at the College of Business Administration at UT. Dr. Crook holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Florida State University. He has published over 20 articles on strategy and entrepreneurship topics related to why some firms perform better than others. His research appears in outlets such as the Academy of Management Learning & Education, Academy of Management Perspectives, Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Managerial Issues, Journal of Operations Management, Organizational Research Methods, and Strategic Management Journal. Dr. Crook is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Management. Dr. Crook teaches several courses at UT and works with the National Defense Business Institute to improve acquisition processes for the United States DoD. Before receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Crook worked for American Airlines, US Airways, and IBM in a variety of capacities, including consulting, operations management, scheduling, strategic planning, and global procurement.
