Dr. Mandyam Srinivasan joined the faculty in 1992. His current research interests are in performance modeling and evaluation of manufacturing systems. His teaching interests include performance evaluation, lean production systems design and operation, and supply chain management.

Dr. Mandyam M. Srinivasan is the Ball Corporation Distinguished Professor of Business and the Management Science Master's Program advisor. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from Northwestern University. His professional experience includes five years of employment in the automobile manufacturing industry. He received the Franz Edelman Award for Achievement in Operations Research from the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences in 2006.  He has won numerous awards for excellence in research and teaching.

Dr. Srinivasan's current research interests are in lean manufacturing, performance evaluation of manufacturing systems, and supply chain management. He teaches in the Core MBA, the Senior Executive MBA program, the Aerospace MBA program, the Professional MBA program, and in numerous programs run by the Center for Executive Education. His research and teaching efforts have been supported by grants and contracts from various organizations including Northern Telecom, General Motors, Allied Signal-Honeywell, IBM and the National Science Foundation. He is the Focus Issue Editor for IIE Transactions on Design and Manufacturing and an Associate Editor of International Journal of Flexible Manufacturing Systems. Dr. Srinivasan has adopted a breakthrough approach to supply chain management in his book, Streamlined:  14 Principles for Building and Managing 1the Lean Supply Chain, published by Thomson in 2004, and the forthcoming book, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, to be published by Tata McGraw-Hill in 2007.  In his spare time he enjoys playing "music" on his guitar.
