Welcome

Welcome to the website for the Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program at the University of Tennessee.  Our I/O Psychology Program is housed in the Department of Management in the College of Business Administration.  This unique arrangement provides us with many advantages.  For example, our graduate program is an accredited doctoral program in I/O psychology, and the College of Business offers our students professional experiences not typically available in other I/O psychology programs.    

Our program is highly research oriented with students and faculty actively engaged in  laboratory and field research.  A strong scientist emphasis is present in the program.  We train all of our students to become capable scientists.  In addition, as part of the program, we require our students to participate in applied opportunities.  We train all of our students to be skilled practitioners. 

We are proud of the Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program here at The University of Tennessee.  The program’s exceptional reputation is established, and it is continually enhanced by our faculty, students, and graduates.  Our I/O program provides a fundamental grounding in psychology and practical experience.  Our graduates are employed in academic, government, and industrial settings.
