Dr. J. Paul Dittmann is Director of Corporate Partnerships and Managing Direcfor of the UT Demand & Supply Integration Forums (DSI) at the University of Tennessee. In that capacity he is responsibile for development and support of corporate relations and direction of the IVC Forums. In addition, he teaches at both the undergraduate and executive education levels. Paul recently retired as Vice President, Supply Chain Strategy, Projects and Systems, for Whirlpool Corporation where he was responsible for developing a world-class supply chain strategy, managing a large project portfolio to implement that strategy, and was responsible for all supply chain information systems. From 1995 to 2001, he was Vice President, Global Logistics for Whirlpool. Prior to that he served as Vice President of Logistics for Whirlpool's North American Appliance Group. Dittmann holds B.S. and M.S. degrees and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering/Operations research from the University of Missouri. He is a member of APICS, the Council of Logistics Management, and served as an adjunct professor for the Ashland University and Western Michigan University MBA programs. He also serves as a seminar leader for the Project Management Institute, conducting a two day seminar-Global Project Management in cities across the United States. He served on the research advisory committee for the World Class Logistics Best Practices research sponsored by CLM.
