finance major gives students the flexibility to tailor programs to fit their
career goals and to prepare for one (or more) of the following specialty
areas: Courses in Investments
lead to career opportunities in investment analysis, commercial and
investment banking and insurance. Courses in Real
Estate prepare students for real estate brokerage,
appraising, taxation, law, property management, real estate development,
mortgage lending and banking, or construction jobs. Courses in Corporate
Finance lead to opportunities in corporate forecasting,
planning, and control, cash management or capital and financial analysis
positions. Courses in Financial
Institutions and Markets prepare students for
the management of financial institutions as well as government organizations
related to the industry. Courses in Insurance
and Risk Management prepare students for
jobs in insurance, business, and public risk management.
