Finance Department Enrichment Fund dollars are invested in areas such as academic, curricular and program improvements, technology enhancements, scholarships, and faculty recruitment, retention, and research.
Notable recent gifts to the Department include the establishment of the John M. Wachowicz, Jr. Finance Excellence Endowment by Jenny Banner, Finance Department Advisory Council member, and CEO of the Schaad Companies. Earnings will be used to support the activities of the Financial Management Association or the Volunteers on Wall Street Program. We appreciate Jenny's continued support for Department of Finance activities and programs, and congratulate John on this honor.
Another good friend of the Finance Department, Chris LaPorte, has offered continuous generous financial support by funding one of the department's Torch Funds, and to the Masters Investment Learning Center in the form of sponsoring Bloomberg terminals, which has enabled the opportunity to earn a Bloomberg Acknowledgment Certificate to many more students.
Thanks to the The SunTrust Foundation for the recent $25,000 to the College of Business Administration Finance Department Enrichment Fund at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
