The FMA is a student organization committed to
expanding the academic horizons and career opportunities at
the University.
Dues are $30 a year ($15 per semester). To join, see Mrs. Murphy in the Department of Finance, located on the 4th
floor of Stokely Management Center, to pick up and fill out an
application form. The FMA hosts monthly business speakers,
and active members are eligible to take trips to New York or
Chicago and Omaha.
Activities:
The association
schedules monthly meetings with financial professionals, giving
students a chance to learn more about current issues and
careers in finance.
The group also
organizes two trips each year:
UT
is privileged to be among the few schools that Mr. Warren Buffett, legendary investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway,
allows to visit him at his offices in Omaha, Nebraska.
The visits to Omaha are in the spring.
Over Fall Break, the FMA travels to New York City
to tour the city and to meet with distinguished financial
professionals. |
