VITA
Alvaro Taboada is an assistant professor of finance. He has a Ph.D. in finance from the Fisher College of Business at the Ohio State University. He holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and a B.B.A in finance and international business from Florida International University. He is also a CFA charter holder since 2002. He teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in Financial Markets and Institutions and Commercial and Investment Banking.
Prior to pursuing his doctoral studies, Alvaro worked for six years as an international bank examiner for the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. His research interests span many areas within corporate finance, including banking ownership and structure, corporate governance, and international financial markets. He teaches Financial Markets and Institutions. Dr. Taboada’s research has been presented at several conferences including the European Finance Association and the Financial Management Association.
