MBA Alumni Programs GrowOver 5,000 students have graduated with their MBA degree from UT Knoxville’s College of Business Administration since the first MBA program was formed in 1968. Since that time, five MBA programs have offered business leaders options in achieving their graduate degrees in a format that best suits their circumstances and career goals. Now, the college is excited to launch a new service for the alumni of all UT MBA programs, the MBA Alumni Network.
On November 6-7, the MBA Alumni Network kicked off with an event during UT’s homecoming weekend. Alumni representing all five MBA programs participated in events over the weekend, beginning with a networking reception and dinner on Friday evening. On Saturday, alumni and their families gathered on the University Center Plaza next to the Haslam Business Building for a tailgate including good food, family activities, and plenty of opportunity to soak in UT Knoxville’s game day experience. The MBA Alumni Network is planning a number of networking events for 2010, both locally and in regional business communities, including after-work networking receptions and continuous learning events. They will be reaching out to UT MBA alumni to find out what services and activities will add value to their degrees. In early 2010, a new website will be launched featuring upcoming events and resources for UT MBA alumni.
