College Hosts Seventh Annual Scholarship Reception
The College of Business Administration recently held its seventh annual Scholarship Reception. Over 250 guests, including scholarship recipients and many of their donors, attended. Over the past year, the college awarded $848,712 to over 300 undergraduate and graduate students.
In addition to hearing from college leadership, two loyal alumni spoke to the group —Will Pugh, a 1961 graduate of the college and loyal donor of the Pugh & Company Scholarship since 1998, and John Compton, 1982 graduate who was instrumental in PepsiCo Foundation establishing its scholarship in diversity in 2008. Jeremy Park, a junior studying accounting from Lenoir City, TN, and a Pugh Scholarship recipient, spoke about how meaningful his scholarship is. He also encouraged students to give back as alumni so others can benefit.
