Professional MBA Program Students, Staff, Alumni, and Faculty
in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Students, staff, alumni, and faculty of the University of Tennessee’s Class of 2010 Professional MBA program traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, for the program’s annual international immersion, May 1 through 8. You can follow the students’ experiences at http://utcee.blogspot.com and http://twitter.com/UTExecEd.
Said Kim Mallory, a 2009 graduate, who went on the trip: “We are excited to share our global experiences, so please check our blog and follow our grand adventures. We will learn about the ever-shrinking global marketplace and the issues, challenges, and rewards of doing business in Argentina through company visits, presentations by government and commerce officials, and numerous cultural activities.”
The group’s itinerary included a Buenos Aires city tour (including the Presidential Palace, Recoleta Cemetery, Eva Peron Memorial, historic El Caminito, La Boca Districts, and Colon Theater); the Argentine Microcredit Network; Citibank; Deloitte; pharmaceutical product manufacturer Roemmers Laboratories; Procter & Gamble; Argentina’s flagship software creator Globant; Avon cosmetics; Esso (ExxonMobil); and Buenos Aires’ public water company AYSA.
