2010 Commencement Recognizes Hundreds of Graduates
Over 450 graduates, their families and friends converged on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, to celebrate spring 2010 commencement.
U.S. Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., a College of Business Administration alumnus, delivered the commencement address. Corker graduated in 1974 with a degree in industrial management. “It is an honor to address these graduates,” said Corker. “Thirty-six years ago, I was sitting exactly where they are, and I look forward to sharing with them a few of the things I've learned along the way.”
The 453 graduates represented the largest group of undergraduates to graduate from the college; the number represented graduates from both spring and summer terms. Of that number, two graduates received commissions as second lieutenants in the United States armed forces.

Students receiving advanced degrees also were recognized. Master’s degrees in business administration, economics, and accountancy were awarded to 62 students, and five earned doctoral degrees in accounting, economics, human resource management, and statistics.
