Director’s MessageGreetings from the Executive MBA program at UT! I hope you are well and that your summer is off to a good start. In Knoxville, our basketball season ended too early for our tastes, and now we eagerly are awaiting the debut of our new football coach. The last six months have been a period of significant change for the Executive MBA program, including moving to a new building, gaining a new faculty member, and changing directors. The Class of 2009 is off to a great start. The class is a wonderful representation of the trends in today’s business world. Our current students are from a mix of small, medium, and large companies. In addition to students from manufacturing and financial sectors, there are several entrepreneurs and business owners, many healthcare professionals, and a few students who work with Internet and high-tech companies. They are a fabulous class of 26 students, and we continue to be proud of the quality and dedication of the executives that you share with us. Thanks to all of you who have recommended the program and sponsored talented executives in your organizations. We look forward to continuing to work with you and your organization to develop some of the most promising and talented executives in the business world. Thank you for continuing to support this program and its goals, and know that we stand ready to support you and your organization. This EMBA e-newsletter will return to a Spring and Fall format starting Fall 2009, and this summer I will be in touch with the EMBA Advisory Council to determine how the group should proceed going forward. Please keep in touch – the best part of my job is learning about your successes. Best Regards,
