Magazine Names UT's Bill Fox to Its All-Decade State Tax Team

Bill FoxState Tax Notes magazine recently printed a list of the most influential people in the state and local tax world during the past 10 years. Bill Fox, professor of economics and director of the Center for Business and Economic Research in the College of Business Administration, is part of that all-decade team.  State Tax Notes is a product of Tax Analysts, the nonprofit publisher of other print and online tax publications.  LeAnn Luna, Stokely Scholar of accounting and researcher with the Center for Business and Economic Research, was identified as a “person to watch.” The publication said she has quickly become one of the most cited researchers in the field and is likely to be one of the leading public finance scholars in the next decade.

Joe CarcelloTSCPA Recognizes UT’s Joe Carcello

Joseph V. Carcello received the 2010 Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (TSCPA) Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award.  Carcello is the Ernst & Young professor inUT’s College of Business Administration’s Department of Accounting and Information Management and the director of research for UT’s Corporate Governance Center.
