In Memorial: Hans E. Jensen
Our colleague Hans Jensen passed away in California on May 12, 2008. Jensen came to the University of Tennessee in 1964 and was “forced” to retire at age 70. He didn’t! He kept on teaching into the 21st century. Hans served as head of the Department of Economics from 1968 to 1974. He was a legendary scholar and mentor to legions of students. A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
