Economics Club
About the Econ Club
The Economics Club at the University of Tennessee is a resource for students interested in the field of economics. The club meets regularly to discuss economic issues, host speakers (both UT faculty and outside leaders, such as Tim Burchett of the Tennessee Senate), engage in community service on campus, and provide Review Sessions for Economics 201 students. The Econ Club is involved in Campus Beautification Adopt-A-Spot program. Members also often participate in department or College of Business events. Career Services has offered special seminars to prepare students for internships and graduate school in economics-related fields. Most recently, the club partnered with Beta Alpha Psi in hosting a Financial Literacy Day on campus. The Economics Club also travels to Washington, D.C. each year to meet with both policy makers and private firms, and tour our nation's capitol.
