Joe M. Weller-2001 Distinguished Alumnus
Joe Weller is chairman and chief executive officer of Nestlé USA, a company with more than 19,000 employees and $8 billion in annual sales. Weller received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee in 1968 and immediately began his career with Carnation Company, which was acquired by Nestlé S. A. in 1985. Weller quickly rose through the sales ranks to become the leader of Nestlé USA’s executive team. A strong proponent of education, Weller is actively involved in Nestlé USA’s Adopt-A-School program, in which nearly 1,000 Nestlé USA employees volunteer at schools around the country. Because of Weller’s intelligent and compassionate leadership, Nestlé reigns as “the most admired food company in the United States.”
