William B. Stokely, III-1994 Distinguished Alumnus
Bill Stokely, chairman and president of The Stokely Company, is the fourth generation of the Stokely family to staunchly support the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration. Stokely established the college’s first endowed chaired professorship and serves on the university’s Board of Trustees. His passion for making the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration one of the best business schools in the nation is exceeded only by his quest for excellence in his own corporate endeavors. A 1963 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Stokely has provided exceptional leadership to several Stokely enterprises, including serving as chairman and chief executive officer of Stokely-Van Camp, Inc.; Stokely Hospitality Properties, Inc.; Stokely Affiliated Enterprises, Inc.; and The Stokely Company.
