David L. Ramsey, III-1998 Distinguished Alumnus
Dave Ramsey’s most recent best-seller, Financial Peace, has been hailed as “…the most simple and yet profound book on personal finance in recent years.” The advice Ramsey offers in his book is based on his own financial rollercoaster ride that began shortly after he graduated in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from the University of Tennessee. Ramsey acquired and lost $4 million in real estate investments. From this catastrophic low point, he succeeded in rebuilding his life and has since dedicated himself to sharing the lessons he learned with others. Through his books, his nationally syndicated radio talk show entitled “The Money Game,” and his Financial Peace seminar series, Ramsey has touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of people with his practical and heartfelt financial advice.
