Wilma H. Jordan-1993 Distinguished Alumnus
Wilma Jordan is the founder and chief executive officer of Jordan, Edmiston Group, Inc., a New York-based consulting firm which specializes in providing strategic and financial counsel to publishing properties. She got her start in the publishing business after graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration in 1970. With several of her fellow students, Jordan founded the 13-30 Corporation, which rescued the moribund Esquire Magazine and orchestrated one of the most celebrated success stories in the publishing industry. Although her consulting business takes her around the world, Jordan finds time to serve on several high-profile boards, provide leadership to executive women’s organizations, and raise funds for the Patricia Neal Stroke/Trauma Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville.
