Schedule of Events

  • January 28th 5:30-8:00 PM. “Mix and Mingle” in the Crest Room of the UC.
  • February 2nd 5:00-7:00 PM. Business Plan Training and Workshop Session #1, Room 226 in the UC.
  • February 3rd 4:30-6:30 PM. Business Plan Training and Workshop Session #2, Room 226 in the UC
  • February 13th Deadline for Concept Summaries to be submitted to the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation email address at: cei@utk.edu (note requirements for concept summaries under the “Judging Sequence” section).
  • February 16th Top 10 Plans in each category will be announced. Winners will move on to the 2nd round.
  • March 13th Top 10 Plans in each category will make a 15 minute presentation to the judging panel followed by 5 minutes for clarifying questions from the judges. This presentation will be supplemented by 7 bound copies of the business plan for the judges perusal.
  • March 25th The 5 Finalists in each category will be announced.
  • April 3rd Final Round of Judging will take place. Teams will have 5 minutes for a “final sell”; followed by 20 minutes of questions from the judges.
  • April 7th Winners announced!
  • April 10th Awards Presented!
