COMPUTER AND DATA PROCESSING SERVICES
Each month the Construction Industry Research and Policy Center (CIRPC) receives an electronic file from McGraw-Hill Construction containing approximately 25,000 new construction initiations. Econometric models are used to calculate the estimated construction duration of each project. The calendar period in which each project is estimated to be under construction is appended to each record, and a Master Project File is maintained which contains projects active by month for each county in the nation.
The Master Project File provides the base information supporting the OSHA Construction Targeting System and the Davis-Bacon Wage Surveys. Additionally, special statistical reports, using data from the Master Project File and other sources, are compiled and provided to the Wage and Hour Administration and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U. S. Department of Labor
