THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE, KNOXVILLE
CENTER FOR BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC RESEARCH
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

The University of Tennessee is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Research Associate in the Center for Business and Economic Research.  This person must have a Bachelor's Degree and the ability to understand and analyze economic and other data.  Intensive skill with office products and the capacity to learn econometric software is required. Ability to conceptualize and understand research questions is necessary.  Good interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work in a team setting is required.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills are desired. Knowledge of STATA or SAS is preferred.  Further education is desired.  Responsibilities include understanding and analyzing economic, census and other data; taking key roles in research projects; preparing reports and presentations; interacting with clients; working on a range of economic and public policy research issues.
