UT's Mentzer Receives Prestigious International Marketing Award
KNOXVILLE, TN — John (Tom) Mentzer, Bruce Chair of Excellence in the College of Business Administration at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has won the prestigious Berkman Distinguished Service Award from the Academy of Marketing Science.
The award was established in 2004 in the name of Harold Berkman, founder of the Academy of Marketing Science. It is given annually to one academy member in recognition of a career of service to marketing.
Mentzer is the first recipient from UT.
Mentzer's past honors include the International Society of Logistics' Armitage Medal for outstanding contributions to logistics literature and the Distinguished Service Award from the Council of Logistics Management.
He also has been recognized as one of the industry's most cited authors by MarketingPower.com.
