UT MBA Program Hosts Speaker on Global Business:
Carlos Represas, Former Chairman of Nestlé Group Mexico
On Friday, April 29, UT’s full-time MBA program is hosting a mini-symposium featuring Carlos Represas, former chairman of Nestlé Group Mexico. Represas is speaking to the MBA Class of 2011 about his experiences as a global business executive and sharing his thoughts on how today’s business students can become successful leaders in tomorrow’s global business environment.
The symposium is scheduled for 10:00-11:30 a.m. in room 402 of the Haslam Business Building on the UT campus.
Represas was chairman of Nestlé Group Mexico from 1983 to 2010. He is a member of the board of directors of Merck & Co., Inc. and Bombardier, Inc. He is a member of the Latin American Business Council (CEAL); chairman of the board of trustees of the National Institute of Genomic Medicine of Mexico; and president of the Mexico Chapter of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce in Zurich, Switzerland. From 1994 to 2004, he was executive vice president and then president of the Americas of Nestlé, S.A. In July 2004, he retired from his executive responsibilities at Nestlé after working for 36 years (1968-2004) in seven different countries.
