MBA Alumni Network Hosts First Annual Homecoming Event
KNOXVILLE, TN - Over 5000 students have graduated with their MBA degree from UT since the first MBA program was formed in the College of Business Administration in 1968. Since that time, five MBA programs have offered business leaders options in achieving their MBA degree in a format that best suits their circumstances and career goals.
The College of Business Administration is very excited to launch a new service for the alums of all our UT MBA programs--the MBA Alumni Network!
The MBA Alumni Network is designed help alums stay connected to their classmates and faculty, expand their network through other alumni contacts, continue learning through events on and off-campus, and provide a wealth of resources to support their career goals.
On November 6-7, the MBA Alumni Network kicked off with MBA Homecoming 2009. Thirty alums representing all five MBA programs participated in events over UT Homecoming weekend. A networking reception and dinner was held Friday evening. On Saturday, alums and their families gathered on the University Center Plaza next to the Haslam Business Building for the MBA Alumni Tailgate where there was good food, family activities, and plenty of opportunity to soak in gameday.
The MBA Alumni Network is planning a number of networking events for 2010 both locally and in regional business communities, including after-work networking receptions and continuous learning events. We will be reaching out to our alums to find out what services and activities will add value to their MBA degree.
Shortly after the first of the year, a new website will be launched featuring upcoming events and resources for alums. If you received your MBA from the University of Tennessee and want to make sure that you receive information on MBA Alumni Network activities, contact Kim Mallory at kmallory@utk.edu.
