Undergraduate Placement Statistics

The department's national reputation and the consistent quality of its graduates over time have resulted in solid relationships with public accounting firms, corporations, and governmental entities. Our normal recruiting area encompasses Knoxville, Nashville, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. We also place students in other cities around the nation, and we enjoy healthy relationships with many national recruiters.

Since the 150 hour education requirement took effect in Tennessee, about half of our BS graduates enter master's level studies. Most of the other students either accept corporate or governmental positions. Our successful summer internship program in internal auditing provides several seniors with permanent placement opportunities in this area. While most MAcc graduates go into public accounting, some accept positions with corporations or governmental entities. Virtually all MAcc graduates obtain employment prior to graduation.
