Faculty Profiles

Vicki Mayfield joined the Department of Accounting and Information Management following careers in both public accounting and law.  She received her M. Acc. (1981) and J.D. (2003) degrees from the University of Tennessee. Mayfield spent 8 years in public accounting in Nashville and Washington, D.C. prior to joining Whittle Communications in Knoxville in 1989.  She worked for Whittle and its affiliate Edison Schools, Inc. for 11 years in a variety of management positions. After earning her law degree, Mayfield practiced law in the bankruptcy and commercial law areas. She teaches individual taxation and business law.
