Kenneth E. Anderson, Pugh & Company Professor of Accounting, joined the faculty of the University of Tennessee in 1984 after completing his Ph.D. at Indiana University. He earned his BBA degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and subsequently attained the level of tax manager with Arthur Young & Company (now part of Ernst & Young). Dr. Anderson is a Certified Public Accountant and teaches corporate taxation, partnership taxation, and tax strategy and research. He has published articles in The Accounting Review, The Journal of the American Taxation Association, The Journal of Accountancy, and a number of other journals. His research focuses on tax policy issues, advances in taxation, and tax decision models. He also contributes to an introductory tax textbook and is editor of a second-course tax textbook. In addition, Dr. Anderson serves as the department's as the MAcc Tax Concentration Advisor. He has won the Beta Alpha Psi Outstanding Educator Award three times and has won the Hoecht Celanese Teaching and Research Award.
